Bachelors of Science in Nursing 2015

Nursing. Where a job and a passion come together.  Looking back at my four years in nursing school, I can, without a doubt say it was hardest thing I've ever done.  There were moments when I knew I couldn't go any further but it was the special patients that pushed me through.

Two years ago, I started working on an oncology floor, something that would change my life forever.  The strength those patients have as they fight their battle with cancer is admirable, inspiring, and worthy of praise.  After coming off of a long shift; being mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted, I feel that I have no right to complain about ANYTHING.  My patients strength is contageous.

Working with cancer patients gives me the energy to conquer all of my dreams.  In working with the sick, they tell me every day to take advantage of my health and live life to the fullest.  LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE and whatever you do, do it with passion and drive.

Cuddle the ones you love and hug them extra tight tonight because you never know when something will be taken from you.  This is one thing I have learned in the last couple of years.  Appreciate people, be the positivity in peoples lives, and always remember how blessed you are for your health.

Magical Engagement
July 5, 2014
New Orleans

Last summer we went on vacation with my parents to New Orleans and then to Flordia.  While in New Orleans I experienced the best surprise in my life! Blake wanted to take me on a carriage ride through the city before dinner and when we got off the carriage to take a picture at this beautiful fountain at the Corn Stalk Hotel, he popped the question. The carriage driver filmed the whole thing!  His speech was so cute and the whole experience was nothing short of perfect.  Of course I immediately started planning the wedding:)

My FiancĂ©

This man is the most amazing person I have ever met.  He is the kind of person that makes sure everyone around him is happy and is the most selfless man on the planet.  He is truly my other half and I thank God every day for bringing him to me.
We both attended the same high school and although I was stubborn and told myself I would never date the star basketball player, his persistence eventually paid off!
We have been dating for over 5 years and we are now planning a dream wedding!  He proposed in July when we were vacationing in New Orleans with my family. (Pictures to come)

South Carolina

Lets start with the most important thing in my life.  FAMILY.  My family means everything to me and I am blessed to say that they are my best friends.  My parents have sacrificed a lot to give my sister and I Catholic schooling as well as traveling the world with us.  I don't know where I would be without their love and support.  And then there is my sister.  My world, my best friend.  Although no one would guess, she's two years younger than me (and a LOT taller).  She rocks!

My family is the inspiration for my blog name.  "Always Young, Never Bored" is the quote that my parents used to raise us.  Live life to the fullest, there is always more you can do and, most of all, always keep a young, fresh, positive attitude.
